Why Regulated Infrastructure Matters More Than Access Alone for Institutional Alternative Asset Markets
Institutional investors have more routes into alternative assets today than at any previous point. But access alone is not the problem most institutions are actually trying to solve. The real challenge is operational. Fragmented infrastructure, mismatched regulatory frameworks, custody arrangements outside trading venues, and reporting obligations on investors' own teams create friction that slows deployment, raises costs, and introduces risk.
